The Hydrogen Ecosystem North Adriatic Conference is emerging as a central meeting point for the actors shaping the hydrogen economy across Slovenia, Croatia and Italy’s Friuli Venezia Giulia region. For NACHIP the Conference plays a strategic role in connecting innovators, investors and policymakers who are essential for accelerating capital deployment across industrial hydrogen projects.

Co-organised by ECUBES and META Circularity, both core partners in the NACHIP platform, the Conference acts as a neutral interface between NAHV, NACHIP and other ecosystem initiatives, ensuring that regional hydrogen efforts evolve in coordination rather than isolation.

Why It Matters for NACHIP

The Conference directly contributes to NACHIP’s mission by:

  • Bringing investment and deployment stakeholders into the same room, supporting NACHIP’s goal of translating hydrogen concepts into bankable projects.

  • Aligning cross-border infrastructure, pilot testbeds and funding instruments across the North Adriatic region.

  • Creating continuity between linked initiatives such as NAHV and NASCHA, offering a shared platform where future hydrogen accelerators can connect and scale.

From Conference to Hydrogen Investment Platform

Together with NACHIP stakeholders, the organisers are evolving the Conference into a Hydrogen Investment Platform, centred around:

  • Structured matchmaking between innovators and financiers to accelerate market uptake.

  • A dedicated Innovators Listing and Investors Club launching in 2025, showcasing North Adriatic solution providers ready for industrial deployment.

  • Advancing the “Hydrogen Route 753”, promoting secure and integrated energy corridors across the region.

Strengthening the First-Mover Position

With a combined 7.3 million residents and €181 billion GDP, the North Adriatic region is positioning itself as Europe’s first hydrogen investment corridor. The Conference supports that trajectory by:

  • Facilitating consensus-building between public and private stakeholders across borders.

  • Lowering coordination barriers for technology financing and implementation.

  • Offering an entry point for SMEs, operators and industrial players seeking inclusion in the hydrogen value chain.

A Call to Engage

As NACHIP progresses with more than 20 industrial testbeds and pilot projects under development, the Hydrogen Ecosystem Conference will continue to serve as the central platform where results, needs and investment opportunities are presented and aligned.

NACHIP members, SMEs, investors and policy partners are invited to actively engage in future editions.
