On 13 March 2026, the CO ADRIA cross-border conference “Cross-border energy perspectives” took place in Monfalcone, gathering key stakeholders from Italy and Slovenia to discuss strategic initiatives for energy efficiency and climate neutrality.
The event addressed renewable energy communities, cross-border cooperation models, and the development of integrated energy systems, with a strong focus on the transition towards climate neutrality by 2050.
The programme included a dedicated panel on the North Adriatic hydrogen ecosystem, alongside discussions on cross-border energy communities and regional cooperation mechanisms.
During the hydrogen-focused panel, Alberto Soraci (AREA Science Park) presented the North Adriatic Clean Hydrogen Investment Platform (NACHIP) and its role within the regional hydrogen ecosystem.
